Society
Days of obliviousness
shadowed by society
observing the insanity
of dutiful needs
wants and necessities
the scurrying, the dirt
bright lights pollute the skyline
by day and by night
the vacuous intensity
of materialistic man
behold in this time
we show our frail minds
driven by routine
travelling like sheep
we watch we follow
but what do we learn
from daily tasks
and menial chores
the boredom of
another hour another day
as repetitiveness takes hold
we break out of nothing new
all that is past
is all that is future
knowing there is no change
what if time
you could exchange
what would break
your daily routine
filling time with what else
the else that you don’t know
that you have never experienced
nor maybe ever expected
I wonder,
what would that be?

Waking Life Is So Surreal
Things can change
But only if you let them
What once was will never be
Ever, ever again
What was it way back when
That you made you who you were
The one I fell in love
Oh so long ago
I used to know somebody
That resembles more than you do
When, where did the changes take place?
For you to have a different face
Amongst all that you had
What is now is what you have
Waiting for the days
When life will somehow erase
Times gone by
that do bring tears to my eyes
As I look to the sunrise
For a new day
And something to my way
Feeling like it’s a just dream
Feeling like it’s just a dream
Feeling like its just a dream
But I don’t wake up with a scream
Feeling like its just a dream
But I don’t wake up with a scream

What World Will There Be?
What world will there be?
When the sun closes in
And the rivers run dry
Time would have its way
To bring a close to every day
Tomorrow can’t be seen
As man makes his way
The land has become unclean
As humanity travels
To a wretched destiny
What is there that’s left to ruin?
When the rivers have run dry
And the animals begin to die
The world you knew will never be
Looking back is all you are going to see
The world is a very big place
Vast lands and the human race
Animals that roamed are now damned
All because of the hand of man
Trees lie fallen and rivers dry
The sun gets hotter within the sky
As the ozone struggles to live on
And the stars they die one by one
Time has had its part to play
We’re also responsible in a real big way
Children kill and the adults cry
Mortuaries filled with the young that die
